Hosting Coupons vs Hosting Deals

Know the difference between codes, automatic deals, referral offers and free trials.

Promotions use different redemption methods. Understanding the type helps you know what action to take and which conditions matter before checkout.

Coupon

A coupon requires entering a code. Its eligibility may depend on the account, product or billing period. Copy the code exactly and confirm the order total after applying it.

Deal

A deal does not require a code. The price or benefit is usually presented through the provider's current offer page. A partner link alone does not prove that an additional discount exists, so unspecified savings should remain unspecified.

Referral offer

A referral offer depends on following a qualifying link and meeting the program rules. It may grant credit rather than reduce a purchase price. Existing customers or duplicate accounts may not qualify.

Free trial

A free trial provides limited access for a period or usage allowance. Check whether a payment method is required, what happens when the trial ends, and whether cancellation must be performed manually.

Verification is a separate property

The promotion type describes how an offer works, not whether it has been tested. Every type can remain unverified until an editor records a real check. User reports should be treated as additional evidence, not an automatic replacement for the provider's terms.
